JEWELRY!!!!! Every girl (including me) loves jewelry. Seriously. "Diamonds are a girls best friend" If you don't want to go expensive, look into fashion jewelry. Target and Walmart are great retailers for fashion jewelry. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) when you are buying jewelry. A pendant and a pretty, sparkly chain is great for a birthday.
If you don't want to go into that isle, go to the makeup department. A simple tube of lipgloss is yummy for her and you! (ha ha) Stick with light, faint tints. Bath and Body Works have a great selection of beauty products for girlfriends. Look for the green liquid tubes with the black caps. If you don't know what I mean, ask for assitance, present the occasion and they should be right on it.
If you don't want to do neither, ask for her personal interest from her friends, family, classmates, etc. Keep it on the dl and stick to the simple.
