Shut down your laptop, and get a new battery. Or, you can take your laptop to a technician and ask them to give you a new charger. If the new charger doesn't work, the problem is with the battery.

∙ 13y agoRemove the battery and try it on wall power. If it does not run on wall power then it is either a bad charger, bad charging plug or bad charging board.
A failure between the socket where the power pack plugs in and the motherboard is a very common problem.

∙ 8y agoAssuming the power supply still enables you to use the computer while it's plugged in... it's likely your battery needs replacing. Rechargeable batteries don't last forever.

The charger might have something wrong with it. Or the battery is shot. Go to the shop where you got your phone and show them your charger and battery see what they say.

You can use a universal charger. Usually they should charge any battery under 4.8v.

No, in wont. In fact this will extend the battery life. I recommend doing this only when your phone battery wont charge, and there is no juice in it. I Have a old PDA, and the battery wouldn't work, so i put it in the freezer for 15 minuets and it worked! Good luck!
