There are support groups for Vets. Some are lead by professionals, and some are not. Most of the help comes in the form of sharing experiences. And there are no experiences like the ones from war. It is usually a question of avoiding self-medication and of going to meetings. Special counselling is also possible.

There are a number of organizations that can help. The Veterans Administration is one place you can start.
