What sort of sickness do you feel? You should find out specifically what is wrong or what you are feeling, if possible-- say, you always have an upset stomach, you always feel nauseous, etc.

Your next step is to consult a doctor. I would suggest making changes to sleep and diet, but I think you should talk to your doctor because otherwise you could do something wrong.

Thanks for writing, now onto your question:

Please understand that Answers.com protects your identity. With this in mind, I need the following information. Why? I practiced in Prehospital Emergency Medicine, for almost 20 years, as well as been teaching in this field since 1983.

My questions are:

1. Are you male or female?

2. Your age?

3. Your height and weight?

4. Current medical history? [i.e. High Blood pressure, Migraines, Asthma, etc.]

5. Current prescription AND non-prescription [health food store] medicines,

including the strength and daily/weekly/monthly dosage?

6. Last time you saw your PC: Primary Care physician?

7. Any medical problems on your Mother's or Father's side of the family?

8. How many weeks/months ago, was the onset of your "Feeling sick all the

time.?

9. Have you had ANY blood work, x-ray's (includes MRI's and CT scans), since

the onset of your illness?

10. Are you allergic to anything? [i.e. Pollen, penicillin, sulfa, oak, grass, etc]

11. Any SYMPTOMS? [i.e. Headaches, cough, constipation, depression, ringing

in your ears, etc.]

12. Any SIGNS? [i.e. rash, heart rate >100 beats per minute, at rest, low blood

pressure, changes in the color, frequency and/or amount when you urinate,

bleeding from any bodily opening? "SIGNS" are something you can see.]

13. When was your last H&P: History and Physical?

14. One of the oldest questions in medicine: "When was the last time you felt

better; what has CHANGED since then?" Careful: "CHANGED" can be any-

thing from eating more/less, taking a new herbal supplement, planting a

plant in your yard, et cetera.

15. Are you covered by ANY health insurance?

Let me tell you a short, real life story: A male friend of our family, went to see

his PC of 6 years, and complained of "feeling soo tired" all the time. The Internist drew a 12-slice Pizza on paper, labeling each slice with a different

medical diagnosis, of which "cancer" was NOT LISTED. This man was also seeing 2 Pain Management doctors. He complained of increased "ringing in the ears" ( tinnitus), the feeling that an "ice pick was stabbing him in his RIGHT ear." These two doctors did nothing; said "Nothing to worry about."

This man then went to a well established (20+ years), Oral Surgeon/Dentist. This doctor took a Panoramic x-ray of this man's mouth, as well as an oral exam of his mouth. The man complained that he had battled no less than a dozen of

abscess teeth - most in his right, lower jaw. This Oral Surgeon, told him that he had some ",loose teeth, and osteomyelitis to his right/lower jaw bone. This doctor even wrote his diagnosis' on his letterhead, and gave same, along with the x-ray, to this man to take to a Teaching Hospital, where they could fix his teeth, but need a "referral" from another doctor. When he was seen at this hospital, he noticed the the Head of Oral Surgery (and teacher of same), was being followed by 10 Residents. The doctor asked this man to look at the Oral Surgeon's x-ray, then look at theirx-ray they had taken, as the x-ray machine of the Oral Surgeon's was 27 years old. The doctor pointed-out the lower, right jaw bone and asked the man to compare this bone to the same one, but on the LEFT side of his mouth. The man saw that 3-4" of his right jaw bone was missing; that only 1/4th an inch was holding this bone together at it's worst point. DIAGNOSIS: SCCA (Cancer), over 2 years old, had been the cause of the multiple "abscess teeth", loose teeth, and the large, fleshy mass that actually covered-up one of his healthy teeth, and the feeling of "fatigue" all the time. Four physicians were seeing this man: ALL four were treating him at the time this UNDIAGNOSED cancer was slowly eating-away the inside of his mouth! ALL four doctor's completely missed it! The man had 13 1/2 hours of surgery, and still has 3 more surgeries to go.

One of the first things our Lead Professor taught us in college was: "What the patient reports to you is your best diagnostic tool."

PS: "Go see your Doctor", is great advice, as long as you have the co-pay and health insurance to cover the costs!
