I am not sure why you are eating chalk in the first place. Eating items not usually considered food is called pica. Are you pregnant? That's one of the questions my doctor had on a list of things people do while pregnant and I thought it was an odd thing to ask, but now that you've said it, maybe some people crave it when they are pregnant. Otherwise, try eating candy coated malt balls, they taste better and will leave the same white ring around your mouth that the chalk does.
