What should you do if your 3-year-old son said a boy at school told him black people don't like white people and he's begun to make notable differences in public and on TV? |

Answer
Take your son to a public park or somewhere where children play and let him see how many different colors of skin there are in amongst those children. Let him see with his own eyes that most of those children are getting along just fine and he'll probably become curious enough to join them. The other poster was also correct. There are many Children's DVD's and programs on TV where you see black and white children (cartoons.) He would relate to that and see with his own eyes that indeed black and white can get along just fine. It's up to parents to teach their children not to become racists and you were smart to ask that question (a hard question to answer for a little 3 year old.)
Good luck Marcy
tell him the kid at school is wrong. there are white people who dont like white people and black people who dont like black people. its all about character if somone likes other people. not color.
