You missed my point. Don't worry about everyone else or what they think. It only matters between you and him. I would be a lunatic if I took everyone else's opinion to heart. You need to consider the sources of the remarks. Bottom line have confidence, have fun, and enjoy your life.

maybe they just wanted to impress the ex-boyfriend or to get the ex-boyfriend jealous It could be a comfort thing, they tried to move on to another guy because they thought their ex wouldn't want them back. Then they later find their ex still has feelings for them, so they go back to the comfortable area with him, instead of having to go through the awkward parts for a newer boyfriend.
