What Should You Do When Your Boyfriend Is In A Gang & You're Pregnant & He Says When The Baby Turns 10 The Gang Will Get Passed Down To Him?
- Run! Do not allow this father to be a part of the babies life if there is a chance he will influence the child to join a gang. It is better to give the baby up for adoption than to risk your own life. When the baby is born, leave the field where it says "father" blank. This way, he has to spend money to get a DNA test to see if the child is his. It is likely he won't do it and you would be free to give the baby up for adoption if you wanted. If you don't have an interest in giving the baby up, then move away and don't ever let him find you. This child deserves a good life, not a gang life. If he joins a gang, prepare for the ultimate heartbreak of him dying at a young age. Gang members do not make it far in life and they don't life long enough to retire.
- This is your baby, can you imagine him/her with a gun is his/her hand at ten years or this guy is not a father, he is a bad influence and obviously doesn't care if his child lives or dies. you should keep your baby away from people like him, even if he is the father, but you can still have a safe and happy life with your child.
- While the other posters gave you excellent advice it's very difficult to just hold your own against a gang member (your boyfriend) and get away from it completely. The only way you may get any help is by going to the "Abused Women's Center" where they will place you in a "Transition House" and NO ONE knows where you are. They will care for you and your baby and give you good legal counsel. They will also help you get settled (perhaps in another town). There is no way your boyfriend is going to let you go until HE wants to let you go. Gang members stick together and I think you know this. Get out of town!
