First get some towels to help keep her comfortable. and then rub her tummy gently when the puppys start to come out make sure you have a blanket to rub them in get all that stuff of them and get a nasal aspirater so you can get the stuff out of the puppies throat and nose so they can breath. when you get them all cleand up and u rubbed them down really good and you cleand up after the mommy doggie you take the babys to her but make sure she stays laying down with them and they all eat from there mommy

If the female is yours and the male is someone elses you can give one dog to the owner of the male. But if the owner of the male doesn't want one then sale them or keep them, it's your choice.

Mostly keep out of the way and let the mother do her thing - the female will deliver a puppy, lick it clean and encourage it towards her mammary chain, then repeat until she has delivered all her puppies.

If a problem develops, you will know because the mother will continue to have contractions but you won't see a puppy be delivered for 30 minutes. At this point you have a medical emergency that needs to be seen by a veterinarian immediately - pack your female and all the puppies she has already delivered in the car and call the vet on the way to the clinic.

After all the puppies have been delivered, you need to CAREFULLY approach her - she may become aggressive and snarl or even bite you. If she will let you, pet her and check her over - she will be tired but otherwise shouldn't have any obvious problems. Some discharge from her vulva is normal, but it shouldn't be bright red or in large amounts - these would be medical emergencies. If she will let you, try to get run your fingertips down each puppy; if she won't let you, don't risk being bit - in the next few days she should relax and allow you to interact with the puppies.

If the litter is not the mother's first litter, you can stay nearby and let the mother do what she needs to. If the litter is the mother's frst, you should stay near the birthing pen. When the puppy comes out, rip open the sac around it's nose and mouth gently with your fingernail and dab it's nose and mouth gently with a soft towel. If the mother has already ripped open the sac, just dab the puppy's face. When you are done dabbing the puppy's face, place the puppy by the mother's stomach and let her smell it. Between puppies, you can let the mother go outside to relieve herself and to get some fresh air, but bring her inside right after. If one of the puppies that is born doesn't respond when you rip open its sac or dab it's face, gently shake it upside down when you hold onto it's back legs. It should cough up a mucus-like liquid. If it doesn't cough up anything, it may be a stillborn, which means it was born dead. ~

did you purposly mate your dog? if so count 63days from the first mating and there is your due date but be warned then can welp anywhere between a week early or a week late. my cavalier had her pups 5days early. from 21days of pregnancy a vet can palpate and tell you if your dog is definatly pregnant. from 28dats you can have her scanned.. i do not recommend x-rays and no good vet will either. good luck with everything

If you have puppys congratz also when you dog has puppys you will need to look after them while they grow and take them to the vet for checkups then you would need to wait till they are older (ask vet how old) Then if u want you can sell them!! :) to familys what type of puppys are they..?
