Well, she entered a show called Pop star the rival's. her and the 4 other Girls Aloud stars (Kimberly, Sarah, Nichola. Nadine) were combined as the 5 best singers that would fit together so the became the group on the show. The ended up competing against a boy band (cant remember what they were called) although girls aloud won. Girls aloud then went on to become the most successful girl band of all time!
