on a 2002 it is a 3/8 th Allen wrench
Actually the proper ones are a 7mm and 10 mm for the bracket bolts
It's 12 mm bolts, not Allen key.
3/8" Allen wrench.
it takes a 7mm Allen wrench to remove calipers on 2003 ford focus.
In that period most Cadillac calipers were held by 15mm bolts.
Most VW/Audit calipers are held by Torx bolts, not hex.
Put the front of the vehicle on jack stands and remove both front wheels. Disconnect the hydraulic brake line from the caliper. Using an appropriate sized allen wrench, remove the two bolts that hold the calipers to the axle assembly. The bolts are at the top and bottom, and can be accessed from the side of the caliper that is closest to the engine. Once the bolts are off, the caliper should slide off, but it's a tight fit, so you may need to work with it a little. You need a 10mm socket for the caliper bolts. Not a allen wrench
I thought my system had star bolts, not Allen bolts. You may need star wrenchs. I think mine were 10mm stars
Almost all Kia calipers are held with 14 or 17mm bolts, NOT Allen screws.
they are Allen bolts
the front calipers take a 9 mil Allen head and the rear take a 7 mil, noth arent in your average homeowner Allen set
take tire off! remove the slide pins on caliper, should be Allen wrench heads on bolts. then slide off of rotor!!
First of all you don't say which car and year. - Second, by the incorrect term "star wrench" you possibly mean Torx and they are almost never used on brake calipers. 99% of the time calipers are held by Allen screws or regular bolts.
