Oh, plenty. You have the basic categories of road bikes, MTBs, and city bikes. But then there are all the sub-categories. Road bikes sorts into TT/triathlon bikes, cyclocross bikes and touring bikes. MTBs sort into cross-country, all mountain and Downhill bikes. Then there are the stunts and jumps bikes the BMXes, dirt and trial bikes. Then there are trikes, recumbent bikes and tandems. You have internal, or external gear, single-speeds and fixies....
Which is better Sunday bikes or eastern bikes?
These are both very high quality bmx bikes, but it sort of depends on your age. if your 12-14 i would recomend an Eastern but if your 15+ i would go with a Sunday Funday Pro. We the peoples are also great.

How is the mechanical advantages of early bicycles different from modern day ones?
Real early bicycles didn't have pedals, and you'd have to kick your way forward. No mechanical advantage at all. Slightly later bikes had pedals fixed to the wheel, which offered some sort of mechanical advantage through the circumference of the wheel and the length of the crank arms. Then came the chain driven bikes which are fairly similar to the modern bicycle. However, with the gearing systems available today, bikes have very adjustable mechanical advantages. from far less than the early bikes to considerably more than the early bikes.

Sure. Once it's worn out beyond repair, disassemble and sort out the metal parts according to material, then turn the parts in at a recycling center.

How could current bicycle designs be improved?
The bicycle has been around for quite awhile now, and remained looking pretty much the same. Much of the design is given by the fit to a human rider and some very basic material properties, so any big changes are actually unlikely. We might get more electric assist bikes, maybe more folding bikes for easier storage, race bikes can keep getting lighter and sleeker. Commuter bikes might get some sort of improved locks and theft protection. Maybe some short travel suspension for utility/commuter bikes. Perhaps automatic gears or continuously variable gears. Improve tires so that they don't go flat but still have the low rolling resistance, vibration damping, and other characteristics of modern bicycle tires.

Well, sort of. There are trailer bikes (also known as tag-alongs, add-a-bikes and trail-a-bikes) that looks like the rear half of a kids bike but with the frame stretched to a long gooseneck that attaches to the rear rack or saddle post to an adults bike.
