Generally , about all types of nerve cells ( motor , sensory and relay ) :-

  • It is having Dendrites at it's end , so that it is attached to an effector or a receptor or a part of the central nervous system .
  • It is having a long Cytoplasm ( along the nerve fibre ) , so that it can transmit nerve impulses for long distances .
  • It is having a Myelin Sheath around the cytoplasm , to prevent the leakage of the nerve impulse ( prevent it escaping ) .
