As part of the US, and running southwest through many US States, the Appalachian Mountains cross through Maine, Vermont, Massacheutts, New York, Pennsylvania (where part is the Allegheny Mountains), Maryland, Virgina and North Carolina (where it has the Blue Ridge Mountains in all 3 of those states), West Virginia, eastern Kentucky, western Ohio, Tennessee, South Carolina, and then Georgia. They end just above the city of Atlanta, Georgia.
