What states view the spouse of an accused person as an ordinary witness who can be forced to testify against the accused person? |
[Edit] |
Answer
None in a criminal proceeding. Spousal privilege is recognized in all the states of the US.
This does not apply to cases involving abuse of one by the other. It does not apply to testimony about events that occur before or after the marriage.
For full rules, consult an attorney that practices in the state in question.
