Since 2010, Coach Jimbo Fisher's first season as head coach of the Seminoles, each preseason College Football poll asked with bated breath if the Noles were, in fact, "back." In 2012, with tremendous expectations for QB E.J. Manuel's senior season, FSU lost a stunner to North Carolina State on October 6. On November 24, the Noles dropped a home game to #6 Florida. Interestingly, FSU went on to win the ACC Championship Game against Georgia Tech, before clawing out a victory in the Orange Bowl against BCS buster Northern Illinois.

No Florida is a state and any athletes from the state who participated in the 2012 London games would likely be part of the US Olympic Team

If you are referring to the state senate, Florida has forty state senators. In 2012, the majority of them were Republicans. There is a website for the Florida State Senate, so that you can see which senator represents your district currently: http://www.flsenate.gov/senators/ If you are referring to congress, the U.S. Senate has two senators from Florida (all states have two U.S. senators). In 2012, they were a Democrat, Bill Nelson; and a Republican, Marco Rubio.
