The final episode "Goodbye, Farewell & Amen" still holds the record for the most watched TV episode of all time. According to Wikipedia, Between 109 and 125 million Americans (77% of all television viewership that night) watched "Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen". No show to date; not even the highly acclaimed Seinfeld; has broken that record. Personally, I don't think any show ever will. Because there is so much out there. When one program goes, the channel can always be changed. Why not? More variety of shows means more favorites. More stuff to watch equals a lesser percentage of people watching what you like...Best episode ever? Ya, according to you and maybe 6% of other percent of people. You only need another 71%

Is story Mash a fraud?

MASH, the book, movie and television series, is certainly not a fraud. They are based on real life (fictionalized) events of the first Korean MASH unit (July 1950). The book is written by Robert Hooker, and actual surgeon from MASH 8055. The story lines of the first several years of the CBS television series were taken from memories by actual former army personnel assigned to MASH units.
