You have to look at yourself, the relationships involved and be honest with yourself about what you find. Why is your new best friend your new best friend? What do you have in common, why are you connected? Why do you loathe the other person? What have they done or said to cause this? IF the two of them are friends, they must have some common interests, some reason they like each other and choose to be around each other. If you can find out what their common interest is, this may give you something in common with both of them and you may find that you don't loathe the other person as much as you thought. You might find that maybe you need to rethink your opinion of the other person

∙ 9y agoI personally have been through that situation before and I have a pretty good idea how to handle it so I hope this advice helps you out.
Well, it depends if your friend who has hate toward another friend of yours is spending time with the same group. So, if said friend is hanging out with you and the friend they don't like, then you have a problem. But, if they are not hanging out with the friend they claim not to like, then it is not that much of a problem. It's only a problem if said friend turns it into one.
The best advice I can give you that if you are going through situation one, then talk to the hate friend about the situation and ask why they dislike your other friend so much. If they answer your question without any fuss and not blankly stating 'because i don't like them' then insist that they tell you the answer.
If it's for a specific reason, then perhaps sorting the situation out between your two friends would be a good idea. But if it's for a reason that's unstated, then it has become clear that you may be dealing with a 'jealous' friend. They could be jealous of the time you spend with that other person or the other person alone.
If this is the case, then you should stay away from people like that because they are dangerous...I should know because I've dealt with them countless times.
