What to do when o2 sensor light comes on 1984 westphalia?In: VW Vanagon |

Not sure about an 84, but on my 87 I just turned it off. My independant VW mechanic says they last much much longer than the sensor monitor allows for.
Laying on the ground looking up on the front drivers side you should see a little box with your speedometer cable and a group (4 in my case) coming out it. It was right where the spare tire well comes closest to the front wheel. Also on the box is a little button that when pressed should make an audable click. I had to use my VW igntion key yo press far enough in. Now my light is off, and the next time i have a tune up I'll ask my mechanic to check on it.
