Examples of low carb foods? |
[Edit] |
The best examples of low carb foods are low carb foods that are also fat burning foods.
In other words, if we want to burn body fat and keep it off, we need to use low carb foods that are, in addition, powerful fat burning foods.
That is only part of the approach, however. Feeding frequency is also essential.
To obtain maximum fat burning results, eat a small meal about every three waking hours (4 or 5 feedings per day). Each of those meals must contain at least 20 grams of protein for a male and at least 15 grams of protein for a female. You will not be eating more food; you will simply be spreading it throughout the day.
Just eating this way, and using the in-depth examples of low carbohydrate foods that are also fat burning foods will rev up your metabolism and curb foods cravings. You will find the free list and eating plan further down this page, listed under "Related Links"
In terms of carbohydrates, "low carb" does not have to be "no carb." You may allow yourself up to 70 grams (you decide how strict you need to be) of carbohydrates daily from natural sources. It is critical, however, to avoid unnatural (processed, refined) carbohydrates; they are not fat burning foods (even when they are low carb). The in-depth list will show you what foods to avoid as well as what foods to eat.
When digested, all carbohydrates are sugars. Therefore, think of eating carbohydrates as eating sugar and think of eating processed (refined) carbohydrates as eating concentrated sugar.
Drink plenty of fresh water to help in the fat burning process. Individual needs vary. I recommend starting with 3 quarts of water daily.
