If someone is dying, then you don't want to send a sympathy card. You should use a thinking of you card, and write something comforting or positive. Here are some examples of what to write when someone is dying:

∙ 12y agoYOu don"t - well, obviously Get-Well messages are out of the question- some soft or nature-like themes might be appropriate with messages like- the vague- things are looking up, Hope you are feeling better.. vague, nothing to suggest a morbid angle. There are some very sick ( Get Well) cards on the market- one had a sketch- fairly well drawn of a submarine- and the caption- Sorry to hear you are in dry dock or running on the Batteries!- Hope you get a full recharge.. or words to that effect- not funny. In sad but many cases terminally ill people are so psychologically ( Gone) they could not even understand a card like that, or the full dimensions of their maladies. an interesting question- try something cheerful or light- not anything spooky or morbid- like jokes about skeletons or scavenger hunts... try a little kindness- as the song went.
