IF you have painted ceilings and they are not 20 feet high, I use a new clean sponge mop. It works much better than the fancy cleaning tool for bathrooms that I bought. Your favorite floor cleaner will work fine on such ceilings with very hot water. Remember that the sponge needs to be wrung very dry so it doesn't drip.
