The factory uses the PCM / Powertrain control module to shift the transmission up and down. There for if it is a 1/2 Ton truck you will have to put the 4L60E transmission back in it for the engine and transmission will work right. If it's a 3/4 ton then it will have a 4L80E trans. in it.
If you don't want any troubles are head aches. You must install the factory transmission back in the truck.
NO they will not interchange. They are both 4L60E transmissions but they are DESIGNED different. They don't even look the same. The cases are different.
NO. 2 and 4 wheel drive transmissions are DIFFERENT. They will NOT interchange.
There's ONLY 1. That is the 4L60E transmission because of the computer system that the 93 has in it. 4-wheel and 2-wheel drive transmissions will NOT interchange.
NO. The center shaft in the 4-wheel and 2-wheel drive transmissions are a DIFFERENT length. WILL not interchange.
NO it will not. The 96 and 97 year transmissions are DIFFERENT then 1992--1995 and then from 1998 to 1999. If it is a 1996 are 1997 year then The ONLY ones that will interchange is a 96 and 97 no other ones will fit those 2 years.
Well if the 1996 350 is in a 1996 year truck then it must have a 1996 or 1997 4L60E transmission put in it if it is a 1/2 ton. The 3/4 tons must have the 1996 or 1997 4L80E transmission put in it. NO OTHER YEAR transmissions will interchange with the 96 and 97 models.
Will the F27a & the F2ta transmissions interchange in a 1994 F-150
