What tricks or utlilities ie. ctrl-A r-click copy exist to copy text from a text file to the clipboard purely at the XP command line?

Answer

in the command prompt window, right click. you will see a popup menu. select mark. the cursor will change and let you select any text in the command window. left click to highlight the text you want. right click when you are finished.

now right click again and select paste and you'll be able to paste the text to the command line.

if you want to paste from another program, just copy from that program by selecting the text, hitting Ctrl+C, then going to the command prompt window and right click -> paste.

you can also hit the UP cursor to cycle through past commands you've issued.
