At the time of the Vikings, Norse art was related to Celtic and Romanesque art, and consisted primarily of intricate carvings - on ships, buildings and body ornaments. The stave churches (an architectural style used for some churches until ~1400) are an example of this.

A bit later "rose painting" (don't know the English term) was popular. It involved painting intricate "rose" patterns on furniture and decorative items. See related link for a picture.

From the 1800s, Norway had painters (the most famous is Edvard Munch), composers (the most famous is Edvard Grieg) and literature (the most famous is Henrik Ibsen or possibly Knut Hamsun).
