What type of canal is the Suez canal? In: Suez Canal

It is classed as a sea-level canal. it does not use locks, it did have movable bridges more or less for traffic-control entering and leaving the canal but these did not have anyting to do with altering the water level to get ships higher and lower as in Panama and other canals. a far more labor-intensive task is the lock type canal which also would require specialized cranes always on (hot standby) to operate the lift gates if the normal supply fails- the C.O.E. Maxim is (Essayons) usually rendered as We can Work it out! and this certainly applies to Canal Design. huge special types of construction equipment is in everyday use on the Zone- I believe two broad gauge- straddling two normal tracks each Consortium Cranes rated at 350 tons are used to operate the lift gates in an emergency. this takes power!
