What type of clothing should you bring to Italy? |
[Edit] |
Depends which part of Italy and what time of year. In Summer it is usually hot in the day (can get up to mid 30C during the day and around 18c at night), and the further south you go the hotter it is. In winter it may snow say from about Rome north, so very cold. Autumn and spring are mild, tending to colder in the north.
Italians dress either quite formally (older), or in the latest fashions (younger), but are always well presented (eg jewellery, make-up, nice clothes). Sleeveless tops and shorts are ok in summer but you shouldn't wear them inside churches. Scruffy dressing will mark you out as a tourist.
