The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) is a religion, not a political entity, and therefore does not have a government. Church members live under the government of whatever nation they live in. One of the Mormon Articles of Faith says "We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law."
The worldwide Church is lead by a prophet/president, his two counselors, and twelve Apostles. Vacant positions in church leadership are usually filled by the person holding the next-highest position, then the general membership gives a vote of approval on the appointment. This is similar to how many large companies operate, but not similar to any governments.
