Most Amazigh, often incorrectly called Berbers, live in homes just like everyone else. Since most North Africans make their homes out of bricks, mud-bricks, or cement, Amazigh homes are made of the same materials. They are a largely sedentary society in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco and Algeria an live in smaller towns in those countries as well as small towns in Tunisia and Libya. There are nomadic Amazigh called Touareg who live in tents in the desert and are nomads that move their flocks of sheep between the different oases there.
Berbers traditionally live in North Africa, primarily in countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. They have a distinct culture and language, often living in small communities in rural areas and practicing agriculture or pastoralism. Berber society is known for its strong family ties, traditions, and communal values. Many Berbers today also live in urban areas and have integrated modern lifestyles while still maintaining their cultural identity.
The Berbers are the original inhabitants of Northern Africa. They were originally Christian, but when the Muslims came to them, they were Islamized, NOT Arabized. They have their own semitic language and work very hard to maintain their own culture. There are three tribes of Berbers, the Sanhaja, Masmoda, and Zenata. The Tauregs are nomadic Berbers and the men have veiled heads. They were given the name "Berbers" because it means "non-Arab". The Bedouins are the original Arabs. Originally living in the desert of Saudi Arabia, they have spread out to Egypt, Jordan, and Syria. They are a nomadic group of people. They live in beehive-shaped houses in the desert. They speak their own dialect of Arabic.
