Claes Oldenburg is an American sculpture. He creates public art installations, enlarged replicas of everyday objects and soft sculpture versions of everyday objects. He also uses several different mediums; metal, plastic and stone.

Claes Oldenburg uses a variety of materials for his sculptures. I find that hyperrealistic, greatly oversized, or greatly undersized sculptures appeal to my teenagers. Use a search engine to look at the sculptures of Ron Mueck, Claes Oldenburg, Willard Wigan, and Duane Hanson.
i think claes oldenburge did use tecture in his work to make them look like the real thing.

He was a bit different to most artists who were using brass and marble. he went for a strange approach using soft materials and rubber. later on he used brass and steel again but he had already changed sculpting forever. sorry i couldn't be much help, i am only 11 :)
