To be an interior decorator you must love what you do and be educated, ready to answer any question that comes your way. You must be patient, accommodating, creative, and a good listener. The client comes first and ultimately is going to live in the home. So, sometimes even when you don't agree with their taste, all you can do is guide them and hope they listen. That is the biggest test because you do have to leave your ego at the door.
