Pet Rabbits
All pet rabbits descend from the European Rabbit. Through artificial selection, many different breeds of rabbit have been developed.
There are at least 50 breeds of domestic rabbit currently recognized by the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA), plus several variations within many of the breeds. Other countries have their own lists, some species of which do not exist here, or some here that may not exist there. Further, the lists are being expanded and added to regularly, as new breeds and sub-breeds become recognized.
However, some of the more common breeds found in North America are:
American, Argente, Belgian, British Giant, Cashmere, Chinchilla (Rabbit), Dutch, Dwarf Hotot, Flemish Giant, Papillon, Himalyan, Lop, Lionhead, Netherland, Polish, Rex, Satin, Sussex, and Vienna.
There are a variety of types: Dutch, lops, angoras, Himalayan, Rex, and so much more.
For pictures of rabbit breeds and all the different varieties (colors) of each breed go to the American Rabbit Breeders Association website (see link below). They have beautiful pictures plus pictures of Cavies (Guinea Pigs).

The European Rabbit is native to south west Europe and north west Africa (Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Algeria). That's where they come from, and where they still live in the wild. The European Rabbit also lives in the wild of many other places in the world (like Australia, and the UK), because humans introduced them to the area. In many of these areas, the European Rabbit has become an invasive species. The European Rabbit has also been domesticated. As a domestic animal (pet, show, farm, lab), the European Rabbit lives all over the world.
Most rabbits reach sexual maturity at around 3-5 months of age. Sometimes she might become aggresive, mount other females, pant or become really nervous/twitchy. But sometimes she might not even show signs and one day u will end up with a rabbit farm
Algae and fresh vegetables
There are many different rabbit species and each one has its own scientific name. The scientific name for domesticated rabbits (farm rabbits, pets, lab rabbits, etc.) is Oryctolagus cuniculas. The commercial name for domesticated rabbits is either just "rabbit" or, in some cases for farm animals, "fowl." The commercial name for wild rabbits (the meat or fur) is just "rabbit."
Rabbits can be found in a variety of environments, including forests, grasslands, meadows, and even urban areas. They are mainly found in places with plenty of vegetation for food and cover, and they often live in burrows or warrens for shelter.
You can go to a farm and get a handreared lionhead rabbit for £15 OR pets at home £25....
In the wild they would eat grass, bark from trees, flowers and vegetables if they live near a farm. Pet rabbits eat all of these as well as fruit, rabbit food, hay, and even biscuits!

You find the jack rabbit in the discovery chest. My brother told me to click on it and that I had to confirm before I got it but guess what. I'm stuck with a big eared jack rabbit. Took 24 of my diamonds. I was not a happy camper!
There are hairless rabbits accidentally bred in Australia, but they do not live long. Also in Sweden, called teddytassens biran. Some are bred on a rabbit farm, again, they do not last long. So,i don't think they would be a good present.
It is unlikely that wild rabbits would become endangered. They are prolific breeders and, despite the introduction of the disease, Myxomatosis, caused by the myxoma virus, I see little rabbit reduction in the farm fields surrounding my Lancashire village home.,
It is usually what they have grown up around. Every farmer is diferent in this sense.
First answer: There are two different types of rabbit. The hare is a wild rabbit and has longer legs and ears. This is how it is different to rabbits that we have!Disagreement: The above answer is incorrect. Hares and rabbits are differently animals. Although, hares do usually have longer legs and ears than rabbits.Rabbits exist in the wild and as domestic animals (pets, farm animals, and lab animals). There are many different species of wild rabbit and they live all over the world. Domestic rabbits were all bred from one species: the European Rabbit, which still lives in the wild in some parts of the world. On the other hand, hares are wild only. There are no domesticated hares (except in some individual cases, where someone rescued a wild hare that was in distress and raised it at home).Another difference between hares and rabbits is that hares are born with fur and they can see, whereas rabbits are born blind and naked. Another difference is that rabbits dig burrows underground to live in, whereas hares live above ground (they dig shallow ditches but not underground). The words "hare" and "rabbit" are often used interchangeably, so it can be confusing. For instance, jackrabbits (a wild species) are actually hares. And the Belgian Hare (a domestic breed) is actually a rabbit.
