== == Topaz is a gemstone. Most times you see it in blue, London blue or Swiss blue.

It is pretty abundant due to the different treatments that many have started to perform on them.

It is the birthstone for November and also the gemstone for the 4th wedding anniversary.

You can also find tons of it on eBay.

If you mean the gemstone topaz it can vary. Gemstones are valued based on color, clarity, and weight. The deeper the color on a gemstone the better the stone, but today some jewelers willartificially color a stone to make it look deeper richer. How clear the stone is also changes the value. If there are makes within it or it isn't clear will make it less valuable. The size and cut will also determine the value of a stone.

Topaz is a fairly common and inexpensive gemstone. It can be found in huge and flawless crystals, it is hard and durable. The most valuable colors of Topaz are the golden orange-yellow type, called Imperial Topaz, and the dark pinkish-red and orange-red colors. The value increases with a deepness of color in orange and reddish hues. Source: http://www.minerals.net/gemstone/topaz_gemstone.aspx
