Da Vinci was a complicated man. He was born with a strike all ready against him. His mother and father were not married and this meant he had no name or inheritance. In his teens his father called in a favor and found him a position in an artist studio. He did very well and his talent showed. One of his main problems in his life is he completed very few things he began. He was known not to finish his commissions. He was also gay and nearly found himself behind bars for this and one short arrest nearly finished his budding art. All of us life he was poor and depended on the sponsors for work, shelter, and money. He died in France in the French court.
