Michael Jackson's Religion

For the most part it is believed that Michael Jackson did not officially practice any one religion devoutly, although he did explore different alternative religions throughout his life.

Michael Jackson's parents were Jehovah's Witnesses. Michael was born a Jehovah's Witness, and practiced this religion for a short period of time after his hit "Thriller" was released.

In 1987, when the Jehovah's Witnesses criticized his album, Michael Jackson announced that he was no longer a member of this religious following.

In 2007, he briefly took interest in Islam when his brother Jermaine was converting to Islam. There is speculation that Michael Jackson converted in November 2008. However, no official statement or confirmation of these rumors has ever been made, or been publicly released by him or his publicists.

For a brief period of time he wore a red string on his left wrist, a symbol of Kabbalah.

For what it's worth, according to a family friend who appeared on CNN, Micheal Jackson allegedly wanted his children to be raised as Jehovah's Witnesses. According to this friend, that is one reason that he wanted his mother to be the one who raised them.

Kabbalah is a discipline and school of thought concerned with the mystical aspect of Judaism. There is only two people that know: Himself, and Jesus Christ. There is no way to know what was in his heart and if he believed. Like I said before, only him and Jesus Christ know the answer to that question.

Just because they pray at his funeral doesn't mean he's Christian. TONS of people pray. You're suppost to also before you eat and when you pray before you eat doesn't always mean you're Christian.

I believe Michael was a Chirstian he said he believed in God and Jesus and gave thanks to them all the time

He was raised as a Jehovah's witness. Kicked out of the religion when he did thriller. Then he spent the rest of his life looking for and investigating different religions. But he studied The Bible a lot and quoted bible verses in conversations.
