Don't you mean Irish Gaelic? There is currently no language called Celtic and the last time there was one was in 1000 BC, long before St. Patrick who, by the way, was not Irish: he was a Briton. His name was Maewyn Succat. He was baptized Patrick which in modern Irish Gaelic would be rendered Pádraig. The Welsh form is Padrig. Most saints who Christianized a particular country are not the nationality for which we remember them. St. Anthony of Padua was Portuguese. Sw.
