Benns International Schools (including Creative Transitions Inc., Benns Educational Services, TESL International Society, Society of Early Childhood Education, Benns Educational Solutions Inc., Benns Teacher Education, and Benns College) was served with a Restraining Order by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities on March 12, 2009. This was done because the above schools were not considered to be in compliance with the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. In this Restraining Order, Benns was directed to stop operating as an unregistered private career college, to stop offering unapproved vocational programs, and to stop distributing false or misleading promotional materials.
