Woolf's major literary achievements include Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Jacob's Room. Woolf was the author of about fifteen books, the last of which, A Writer's Diary, was published posthumously in 1953. Her death by drowning in Sussex, England on March 28, 1941, has often been regarded as a suicide due to the strains of life during World War II.
