What was the Gosselin children's reaction to Jon and Kate's divorce?

According to Kate (from a June 26, 2009 interview featured in People Magazine), Jon and Kate sat down to tell the children the day before the papers to initiate divorce proceedings were filed: "We sat Cara and Mady down and they were pressing their faces together and being so cute. I realize now it was because they saw Jon and me at peace, sitting together in one room, and it brought them some strange comfort, though they didn't know what was coming. We didn't use the words separation or divorce, we just said that it wouldn't be much different than it is not, but we need to tell you this. Mady said,'I can't say that this comes as much of a surprise. I could've guessed.' But Cara crumpled into tears. She was crying, and I was holding her in my arms like a baby. Then she said, 'You said it was bad but would turn out good.' I told her, 'because it is bad, but it will turn out good. You'll see. I promise you that.'"

Regarding the sextuplets, Kate said that they had an easier time and that her and Jon kept it light and airy. "We just said, 'Daddy's not going to live her sometimes, but he'll come back half of the time and we'll trade off.' I told them that this weekend I'm going away and Daddy will be here and they were like, 'oh, OK' and wanted to know what was for a snack." there is no picture but Kate tells PEOPLE magazine that Cara was crying
