∙ 13y agoThe Rome Berlin Axis was made to ensure that high powers in countries, such as Rome, Berlin and Tokyo, if attacked would have sufficient help from other countries, who would help defend the countries inside the Rome-Berlin Axis.

∙ 11y agoIn theory it was to increase their military might and to reach Northern Africa and Ethiopia. In truth they were using one another for their own benefit. Hitler and Mussolini became good friends and they supported one another in their leadership and goals. Mussolini however did not like the genocide of the Jews and "undesirables". It was a point of contention between them. When I say they used each other this is what I mean: They both needed oil so they went after the oil in Ethiopia. They wanted to defeat the Allied Forces so they both planned how it would be done and Mussolini let the Nazi's occupy Italy.
