Lend-Lease is arguably the major contributor. Thru Lend-Lease Britain and later the Soviet Union managed to stay in the war. In addition to Lend-Lease, the US did several other things, such as take over more and more of the Atlantic to free up the British navy. And of course the contribution of our fighting forces can not be belittled. And technology, from simple things such as the mass assembly lines, to the more advanced, like the A-bomb. There are many who argue that WWII would have turned out a whole lot different without the US' involvement. Many have speculated that Britain would have been forced out of the war. And there is much debate over the Soviet Union. As mentioned above, the bombing campaign against the industries of the Third Reich began to deprive the Wehrmacht of essential supplies when they were most needed.
The United States provided significant amounts of military personnel, war material, and equipment to the Allied war effort, along with significant amounts of Lend-Lease weapons and supplies given to other Allied nations.
Mainly they loaned money to the British to support the war effort and helped produce armaments. Without this support the British would not have been able to defend themselves, let alone puch back the Germans in Europe. However this was not altruism, the US did not want the Nazis to win the war but didn't want to risk loses so by bankrolling the British war effort they were essentially hoping the other Allied nations would win the war so they didn't have to fight it. Also they were paid back with interest (final paid of in 2006).
Eventually with the bombing of Pearl Harbour by the Japanese in December 1941 the US felt the threat was clear enough for them to send troops. This was welcomed by the Allies and created a huge moral boost but probably wasn't really pivotal in Germanies defeat.
I feel I should mention the contribution of the Russians without whom the war would have been lost, although it is not strictly relevant to your question. They committed, and lost, huge numbers of troops and split the German forces, forcing them to fight on two fronts at once.
