It was a US victory and Spain lost its Pacific and Caribbean Empire.

Many...but mainly the world image of the US as a bullyand an imperialistic power.

We also gained the Philippines, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

Spain lost almost all it's overseas territories and the U. S. gained them. Spain faded as a world power while the U. S. became a world power.
