Anime originated out of Japan .
One of the first animes was "Astro Boy" I can't really say this is the first anime ever, but it's definitely one of the first.
The first anime sold in Japan was Doraemon
I'm pretty sure it was Speed Racer, the old cartoon from the 80s I think.
The very first anime to come over into the US was called Astroboy, written and illustrated by Dr. Omasu Tekuza and was released in the early fifties
Astro Boy
1917
No, anime has a very distinctive look that Homestuck does not have, anime also is generally reserved for animation that has come out of Japan or another area of Asia while Homestuck is western. While Homestuck has had influence from anime, it is not in and of itself anime.
The anime that is generally regarded as the first ever anime is Katsudo Shashin in 1907 which is about three seconds in length and shows a boy taking off his hat and waving .
As far as I know there aren't many if at all in the US (first thing that comes to mind is Anime Network), but there are several other conventional television networks that do broadcast anime along with other animated TV shows. As far as in Japan, there are several TV channels that have large chunks of time dedicated to anime (e.g. Tokyo MX).
erased. amazing anime. first anime i was recommended. that's why i've become a anime fan. from that one. don't watch harem unless they're done right.
no ---- I read it was coming to the US in fall 2010
It's still here lol
It's not very likely that there will be one, there hasn't even been an anime yet. The anime will probably come first
OI?! That crap ain't anime. It was made in FRANCE, not Japan. It is not anime. Delete this question and ask in the right category under the right label.
It was first shown in the US in September, 1966.
I believe you should be more specific on your question. I shall answer it as I interpret it. If I am correct, you are asking whether the anime or the games came out first. If that is the case, the correct answer is that the games came out first, and the anime was based on the games, then Pokemon Yellow was released based on the anime.
I hate to say it, but this anime will forever and always be in Japanese and will probably never come out in the US. Sorry!
The first anime I ever watched was Dragon Ball when I was a kid, it used to come on the TV. I didn't understand the concept but I liked the fighting. But after growing up, I watched Fullmetal Alcehmist: Brotherhood. And after finishing that, I was HOOKED and still am!
