They were cloaked in the charade of a community loving, God loving, Bible loving social group, designed to protect white women, prevent miscegnation, contain and eliminate integration and to preserve the white race. In truth, they wanted to preserve political, economic and social power within their community.

∙ 12y agoafter the civil war.the ku klux klan was developed. Back then their main target was the freed slaves. Most of the time they would get away with it. The KKK of the 1920s was also devoted to defending and illegally enforcing National Prohibition by targeting moonshiners and bootleggers, some of whom were killed. The ku klux klan is allegedly still around today, their all over the US..
