Bing Crosby held the record as the top record seller for a number of years. It is difficult to assess given the limited amount of statistics from other countries to calculate definitely the highest record seller of all time. However there are two artists believed to have crossed the 1 billion mark, which would be Elvis Presley and The Beatles. Other high sellers with record sales around about 500 million include Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, ABBA, AC/DC. Bing Crosby too holds a high position, but unlike his competitors he has been largely forgotten after his death in 1977.
