For the first sixteen months (16) he served from the Federal Hall (Corner of Wall and Nassau Streets), where he took his Oath of Office in New York City. He then moved to the President's House, on 6th and Market Streets, in Philadelphia Pennsylvania from November 1790 until March of 1797.
