This list represents the weapons used by all the forces in World War 2.
The Marines used the Browning BAR, the M1 Garand or Carbine depending on whether they fought in the Pacific or Europe. Officers carried Colt 45 pistols (but trust me they used the rifles too in the Pacific) They used the flame throwers and the large artillery. They used automatic machine guns and this saved many Marines. They also had bayonets and the Bowie Knife.

∙ 13y agoWhen the War began, most Marines were armed with the Springfield Model 1903, but they were rapidly supplied with the M1 Garand, the M1918 Browning Automatic Rifle, the M1 Carbine and the Thompson Sub Machine Gun. Marines found that the M2 and M2A1-7 flamethrower, the satchel charge and the M4A3R3 Sherman Flame Tank were the essential tools needed to remove the well dug in Japanese.
