Anything that they could get their hands on. From rocks, pistols, anti-aircraft weapons.. airplanes. One of the Japanese pilots saw a marine standing in the middle of the tarmac shooting his pistol - of course a pistol was ineffective considering the circumstances but our Marine felt better. Lt. Welch and Lt. Taylor did manage to get into their planes and shoot down 6 or 7 Japanese planes as well.
