The skin on a human adult weights 7 to 10 pounds the average is just above seven pounds though. Many people believe the human heart to weigh seven pounds, however that is not correct. The human hearts weight is between 7 and 14 ounces. Hence even if you were to calculate the weight of an adult human heart filled to capacity with hemoglobin ( blood ) the total weight would fall very short of 7 lbs. probly closer to 2.4 lbs.

The Heart does not weigh seven pounds. It weighs 9-11 ounces. Total organ weight, available for transplant, weigh approximately seven pounds.
