At around one o'clock in the morning on January 13th, James Joyce said "Does nobody understand?" before relapsing into a coma after surgery on a perforated duodenal ulcer. His wife, Nora, and his son, George, were summoned by the doctor a hour later but they arrived too late. Joyce died at 2:15 am on January 13th before his wife and son could make it to his bedside.

What was Martin van Buren's last words?

"Who the hell are you?" (referencing the priest standing in the room, as he was a devout Mormon) Could not have possibly been his last words, since he died in 1831, eleven years before mormonism was founded. His last words were about James Madison, about whom he said, "I regret that I am about to die without again beholding him."
